‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Crew Member Gives Graphic Details Alleged Sexual Assault: ‘She Seemed To Go Limp’

Bachelor in Paradise

Following news yesterday that filming of Bachelor in Paradise’s fourth season has been suspended following allegations of sexual misconduct, a crew member has spoken about the incident with The Daily Mail.

Production on the ABC Bachelor spinoff was suspended on Sunday following an incident of a sexual nature in the resort pool between contestants Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson. The unidentified crew member says that during Olympios and Jackson’s drunken hookup, Olympios “seemed to go limp” and kept sliding under the water. DeMario was allegedly holding her up while he “appeared to be having intercourse with her.” The crew member then said Jackson lifted Olympios out of the water, placed her on the cement, and “proceeded to have oral sex with her.”

The crew member’s statement reads:

“Corrine and Demario found out when they arrived in Mexico that the storyline would involve the two of them hooking up so they decided to hang out and get better acquainted over drinks. Soon they decided to go swimming and when they climbed into the Jacuzzi, they were both loaded. Corrine proceeded to remove her bathing suit and things got increasingly sexual. There was hugging and kissing and touching, but before long, she seemed to go limp and was sliding under water. Demario kept trying to hold her up and at the same time he appeared to be having intercourse with her. After he finished – which only lasted a few seconds – he lifted her out of the water and laid her on the cement, where he proceeded to have oral sex with her. She appeared to be unconscious. At that point some of the crew came out and carried her off to her room. She was limp and seemed unable to walk on her own.”

The crew member also criticized the way the incident was handled by the production team in the moment, since they made the decision to just let Olympios “sleep it off” instead of calling “a doctor or paramedic.” The Daily Mail reports that Olympios has apparently told friends that she was too drunk to consent and doesn’t remember the incident. The crew member says that Olympios is “preparing to file a law suit because she feels she was not protected by the show’s producers.”

Jackson told TMZ on Sunday that he was too drunk to have sex, and that he only had oral sex with her after she put her genitals in his face. The Daily Mail says Olympios and Jackson have been in touch and are reportedly on good terms.

The fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise was originally set to premiere on August 8. At the moment, it’s unclear if that date will be delayed. Entertainment Weekly reported that the show’s future is not in jeopardy at the moment, and ABC has to wait for the investigation to finish before making plans for the future of the season.
