‘The Illusionist’

You might not remember that Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, and Jessica Biel all starred in a romantic drama involving a magician (!) and an evil Crown Prince played by Rufus Sewell, but yes, this is a movie that exists. Set in nineteenth-century Vienna, 2006’s The Illusionist follows renowned illusionist Eisenheim (Norton) as he reunites with his childhood sweetheart, Duchess von Teschen (Biel) and winds up in a dangerous love triangle. Full of beautiful scenery, steamy encounters, and high stakes, The Illusionist has more than a few tricks up its sleeve.
